Job description

We are seeking a skilled Reach Lift Operator to join our team. As a Reach Lift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a Reach Lift to move, stack, and retrieve materials within a warehouse or distribution center environment. This is a vital role in our operations, ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products throughout the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITIES

  • Certified to operate a variety of lift trucks: Electric pallet-jack, Stock Picker and Reach Lift.
  • Use RF gun/scanner and Warehouse Management System to research and gather information
  • Inspect equipment daily and complete pre-inspection form
  • Operate equipment in an array of surroundings and multi-temperature settings (-10 to 40)
  • Put-away, transfer, retrieve, pick and deliver materials in storage.
  • Unload and load pallets from inbound and outbound trailers.
  • Pick or count inventory from upper locations while on stocker picker.
  • Pick and stack cartons onto a pallet for individual or store orders.
  • Coordinate and manage the daily operations of the assigned area, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Serve as the lead, assist with supervising the flow of the work and process.
  • Assist with identifying process bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, and propose and implement solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in department processes and troubleshoots problems and issues.
  • Provide one on one or group hands-on training for new and returnee associates on all functional aspects of the ticket processing job.
  • Foster a positive work culture that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Perform other duties as required
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 6+ months of previous forklift experience on similar equipment. Basic reading (English) and math skills (counting, adding subtracting, multiplying and division). PC skills or previous inventory scanning experience required.
  • Successful completion of Safety Classroom Training and Harry & David Certification Power Equipment
  • Ability to stand for an extended amount of time.
  • Lift up to 50+ lbs.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, consistently meeting deadline with accurate and detailed results.
  • Honest and respectful communication
  • Compliance with company attendance standards.
