Summary of the Position

• A1 Acts in a safe manner protecting each associate, customer, vendor and all other individuals with whom the person comes in contact from injury.

  • Remove dented, torn, and damaged product and separate from good product; Damaged product taken to the back room to the receiver for reclamation
• A22 Clears the aisle at the end of the shift
  • Remove tables, carts, and pallets from the floor and put into appropriate place or back room
• A23 Checks in with Night Crew Chief at the end of the shift before leaving
  • Confirm completion of assignment as required before leaving the facility

Comments:
The night crew clerk is an important position within the store. Many customers make their decisions to shop at our store because of the quality and variety of our departments and specifically the many grocery items that we make available to them. This position is responsible for creating an appealing presentation of the tremendous variety and selection of products that we offer. This position is responsible for getting the product on the shelves for our customers to purchase. Our customers trust the safety of the products we sell. We must do everything to give them the right price and the right items when they want it. The night crew clerk can make the difference by the way he or she does their job. We need to treat each individual like a guest in our home -- with courtesy, friendliness and the respect that they deserve.

Minimum Background, Experience, and Requirements

• A1 Supermarket specific department experience; thoroughly knowledgeable of the products, tools, and operations of the night crew
• A2 Competent knowledge of the basic mathematics of the supermarket business
• A3 Able to read and understand the English language with proficiency
• A4 Able to meet the standards of Safety, Friendliness, Presentation, and Efficiency of the store
