Job description

Overview

This position is responsible for helping to accomplish the goals and objectives of the location while having fun and creating the best experience for our customers. They will support the stock team through daily tasks and ensure the store's assets are maintained, inventoried, and recorded along with stocking and merchandizing the store and storage facilities to company standards. 

What You'll Do
  • Demonstrates ability to support store sales team during busy times 
  • Have an uncompromising level of business ethics and integrity 
  • Maintains appropriate stock levels and ensures that all styles and sizes are represented 
  • Follows company standards of merchandise presentation, signage and display 
  • Embraces responsibility of assigned tasks given by management team 
  • Guarantees company assets by ensuring adherence to all loss prevention procedures 
  • Proactively contributes to creating a team atmosphere that is enjoyable 
  • Constructively shares suggestions, ideas and concerns with management team 
  • Master all daily store stockroom tasks 
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized stockroom and offsite facility 
  • Receive product in a timely manner by opening, unpacking, checking packing list against items received and recording merchandise in stock control systems 
  • Assist in transporting merchandise and fixtures from store locations in delivery truck 
  • Stocks storage areas and store floor displays with new or transferred merchandise 
  • Plans current and future methods of storage, identification, stock location and required space 
  • Reviews stock control records for accuracy of information and stock levels 
  • Prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock 
  • Complete merchandise transfers to other locations by sorting, packaging, and sending 
  • Assist floor staff with customers as needed and help locate the right merchandise 
     
What You'll Bring to the Table
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 
    • Must be 18 years old 
    • High school diploma or GED 
    • Flexible work schedule (which may include nights, weekends, holidays and long hours) and regular attendance is necessary 
    • Some travel may be required 
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure 
    • Have knowledge of inventory software and order processing systems 
    • Desire to succeed in a high growth, fast-paced retail environment 
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

    • Ability to move merchandise with pallet jack and other relevant equipment to and from backroom and sales floor 
    • Ability to unpack boxes 
    • Ability to place and arrange items on all shelves and racks 
    • Ability to climb and descend ladders carrying merchandise 
    • Ability to lift 30 pounds or more with assistance 
    • Ability to stand for an extended period per shift and to continuously move around all areas of the store on a daily basis 
    • Ability to work outside in various weather conditions 
    • Ability to stand, walk, kneel or balance for a duration of time 
    • Ability to read instructions, reports and information on computer/register screens and to key information into computer
