Job description

We are looking to hire a Live-in Building Manager in the Kitchener/Waterloo area. This is a full-time position that would be a great fit for someone who likes to keep active and engaged.

Responsibilities:

Cleaning/Maintenance

  • Ensure cleanliness of common areas, corridors, stairwells and elevators
  • Prepare suites for new residents
  • Perform minor maintenance throughout the building
  • Coordinate with contractors for additional maintenance projects
  • Grounds maintenance including: salting sidewalks and minor snow removal on walkways

Tenant Relations/Administrative

  • Address tenant concerns promptly and effectively
  • Maintain positive relations with tenants
  • Show suites to prospective tenants
  • Collect and record incoming rents
  • Assist with move-in and move-out process
  • Maintain building logs

General

  • Follow an "on-call" schedule
  • Stock control and inventory counts
  • Other duties as assigned by Property Manager

Requirements

  • Proven experience completing regular maintenance
  • Sense of urgency
  • Ability to build positive tenant relationships
  • Strong communication with tenants and management
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Capable of moving large garbage bins and handling waste disposal tasks
  • Comfortable performing physical duties such as cleaning, basic maintenance, and equipment handling
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs for extended period
