Job description

Join a well-established, family-run commercial laundry equipment company as a Commercial Laundry Repair Technician. This role involves servicing a range of commercial laundry machines including washers, dryers, flat-ironers, and pressers, with a focus on delivering high-quality, customer-focused repair and maintenance services. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining equipment while managing inventory and documentation through mobile applications. Reporting to the Service Manager, this position requires regional travel and a strong mechanical aptitude to support business growth and enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, install, modify, and maintain commercial laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, flat-ironers, and pressers
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on commercial laundry machines
  • Complete accurate visit paperwork using mobile apps to document all service activities
  • Manage truck stock inventory to ensure necessary parts and tools are available
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction through knowledgeable and courteous service
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer experience
  • Drive service van regionally and perform associated physical tasks including stepping into/out of van, bending, kneeling, and reaching
  • Use hand tools and test equipment safely and effectively

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Driver License and automobile insurance
  • Minimum 2 years of appliance or related repair experience
  • Strong knowledge of customer service principles and ethics
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-directed with a strong work ethic and sense of humor
  • Flexibility to work variable hours including overtime

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years in appliance or commercial laundry equipment repair
  • Mechanical repair and troubleshooting expertise
  • Experience with customer service in a technical support role
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
