Job description

Position:        Driver

Reports to:    Warehouse & Material Handling Manager

Scope:          Loading, Delivering, Unloading Product to Various Locations

Essential Functions:

1.          Loading and unloading of Trailers

2.          Prior to Loading and after Unloading: Inspect All Trailers for cleanliness, odors, insects, rodents, damage, holes, repairs

3.          Visual inspection of all materials handled, to ensure the quality of the materials, meets or exceeds Sterno Product Standards

4.          Delivery of Materials

5.          Perform Housekeeping, as directed

6.          Visual inspection to ensure a quality product is being produced and defects are not allowed

7.          All Other Duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications and Requirements:

1.          Energetic and Positive Team Player who encourages others and takes Pride in the Company

2.          Must have good communications skills

3.          Bi-Lingual, a plus

4.          10-hour work day (may change to support business needs)

5.          Must meet Minimum Physical Requirement

6.          Acceptance by Sterno Products insurance company, is a stipulation of employment

7.          Must have Class A Commercial License, with HazMat Certification

8.          Must be Forklift Certified

9.          Must be:          DOT CFR 49 certified

Security Awareness Certified DOT IMGD Certified

10.       Education: High School Diploma or GED Required

11.       Experience in related field preferred but not required

Details of Employment:

1.          60 Day Probation Period

2.          At Will Employment

3.          Dress Appropriate to Position – See Supervisor

4.          Slip Resistant Shoes are required in All Manufacturing Locations

5.          Must Participate and Comply with All Company Policies

6.          Must be able to work weekends and overtime.
