Job description

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – Outpatient Surgery Center – Sterling Heights, MI

Start Date: Pending client confirmation

End Date/Duration: Contract position (duration to be discussed)

Shift: Full-time, day shifts (varies)

Hours per Week: 40 hours

Employment Type: Contract

Licenses/Certifications: Michigan RN License, CRNA Certification, ACLS, BLS, NBCRNA

Experience: Prior anesthesia experience required (no new graduates)

Pay & Benefits

Pay Rate: $1.00/hour (Note: pay details are provided in the client record and may be part of a special arrangement)

What You'll Do

  • Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop personalized anesthesia plans
  • Administer general, regional, or monitored anesthesia care across various outpatient procedures
  • Monitor patients throughout procedures and efficiently manage anesthesia-related complications
  • Provide post-anesthesia care, including pain management and patient recovery
  • Maintain accurate, compliant documentation of all procedures and patient responses
  • Collaborate with surgical teams and anesthesia care colleagues to ensure optimal patient safety and comfort
  • Travel to other ambulatory sites as needed

What You Need

  • Valid Michigan RN license and active CRNA certification; NBCRNA certification required
  • ACLS and BLS certifications (current)
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of anesthesia experience; no new graduates or lapsed certifications
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

The CRNA will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare professionals to deliver anesthesia services during outpatient surgical procedures, including orthopedics, plastics, urology, GYN, ophthalmology, and more.
