Job description

Our Mission

At Sterling Healthcare and Rehabilitation, we believe rehabilitation is more than a treatment plan—it’s a journey of dignity, compassion, and progress. Every day, we help residents regain independence, restore confidence, and rediscover joy in daily life. Our team thrives on collaboration, empathy, and clinical excellence, ensuring each patient receives care that’s as personal as it is professional.

The Impact You'll Make

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you’ll be a vital part of our residents’ recovery stories. You’ll work closely with our Physical Therapists to deliver hands-on, evidence-based care that helps patients improve mobility, reduce pain, and achieve their personal goals. Your work will directly influence quality of life—helping someone walk to the dining room again, play with their grandchild, or simply move without discomfort.

What You'll Do

  • Carry out individualized treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist, focusing on functional mobility, strength, and balance.

  • Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions, adapting techniques to meet each resident’s unique needs.

  • Track and document patient progress using NetHealth, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Collaborate with nursing, occupational therapy, and speech therapy teams to deliver holistic care.

  • Educate residents and families on exercises, safety techniques, and home programs to support continued progress.

What You'll Bring

  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).

  • Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or geriatric care setting preferred, but new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome.

  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

  • Ability to adapt quickly, problem-solve, and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of ethical and professional practice.

Why You'll Love It Here

  • Competitive hourly rate with opportunities for growth.

  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with company match.

  • Paid time off, holiday pay, and flexible scheduling to support work-life balance.

  • A supportive, close-knit therapy team that celebrates wins—big and small.

We are an equal opportunity employer and celebrate diversity in all its forms.
