Certified Sterile Processing Tech

We are seeking a certified sterile processing technician for immediate placement in our Vascular Access Center located in Washington DC. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience and must be a Certified Registered Sterile Processing Technician

The sterile processing technician will inspect and prepare endoscopes for reprocessing, operate a medivator, store scopes in drying cabinet, and maintain scope reprocessing program. This is a challenging, fast-pace job with Monday to Friday schedule, NO nights and weekend shifts. Access Center hours Monday ? Friday, 7 am to 4 pm. Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Works in GI reprocessing rooms using proper PPE
  • Demonstrates knowledge of endoscope reprocessing policies and procedures
  • Ensures proper preventive maintenance is performed on all equipment used
  • Operate scope washers and other relevant equipment
  • Monitor biological and chemical wash solution to ensure quality and consistency for decontamination of endoscopes
  • Maintain manufacture?s guidelines for equipment and endoscopes
  • Assure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practice guidelines
  • Maintain inventory and endoscope reprocessing program
  • Other job duties as required
