Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join our Sterile Processing Department at our Reid Outpatient Center. This is a full-time evenings shift position, working Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting surgical services by ensuring instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, assembled, and available for patient care.

As a Sterile Processing Tech, your responsibilities include:

  • Perform decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment

  • Inspect, assemble, and wrap instrument trays and linen for sterilization

  • Select appropriate supplies and sterilization methods

  • Operate sterilization equipment while following established protocols

  • Demonstrate knowledge of sterilization principles and best practices

  • Prioritize workload while maintaining accuracy and quality standards

ExperienceRequirements:

  • 1-2 years Instrument Experience

  • 1-2 years Surgical Instrumentation Experience

Education &CredentialRequirements:

  • High School Diploma
