STEM Enrichment Instructor — Now Hiring!

Howard County-College Park Young Engineers is seeking a dynamic, energetic instructor to teach engineering and block coding to kids in grades 2–7 using LEGO-based hands-on curriculum.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

•Teach 2–5 classes/week (90 min each, up to 15 students)

•Create a positive, safe learning environment

•Provide feedback to parents

•Observe host school protocols daily

•Supervise classroom assistant(s)


IDEAL CANDIDATE

•Experience working with children ages 6+

•Interested in education and teaching

•Strong communicator with adults & kids

•Team player, dependable, flexible, and a problem-solver

•STEM background (past or ongoing college coursework or STEM degree)

•Reliable transportation required

•Must pass criminal background and MD Child Protective Services check

Young Engineers of Howard County-College Park is a premier kids engineering and coding enrichment franchise serving Central Maryland. In our program, kids between the ages 6 and 15 years learn engineering and coding skills in a fun, practical, and non-intimidating way – by building 300+ 3D machines/robots with Lego bricks. Kids have a blast while discovering the fascinating world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).
Young Engineers owns meticulously generated hands-on curriculum and lesson plans, which combine education and entertainment to create our unique “edutainment” approach. Our curriculum is recognized by the European Commission and the Harvard Graduate School of Education. We provide training to all our instructors to implement the curriculum.
