Compensation Range:

$14.00 - $14.92

Position Summary:

The Part-time Advanced technician - STEM Tutor position provides high quality support to a diverse college student population in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This role requires advanced subject matter expertise and a focus on fostering independent, active learning. Tutors work one-on-one and in small groups both in person and online, to help students master complex strategies and concepts and develop long term academic success strategies.

Key Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate individual and small group tutoring sessions
  • Guide students through problem-solving strategies and critical thinking
  • Stay current with course requirements and expectations
  • Timely completion of session reports with the scheduling/tracking platforms
  • Assist in training of tutors and participation in professional development
  • Create/facilitate workshops and resources used in tutoring sessions
  • Other duties as assigned by the ASC Manager

Minimum Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in a STEM related field

This is a part-time position not to exceed 28 scheduled hours per week. Schedules can include evening and Saturday hours. This is an on site only position.
