Job Summary
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team! The applicant will be responsible for managing multiple commercial structural steel projects ranging from 50 tons to well over 3,000 tons. Please note this is for a permanent in-house position, not a remote position. The candidate must have at least 2-5 years experience with composite steel buildings, poured in place (PIP) structures and tilt-wall panel projects.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist detailing firms in the startup & completion of each project
  • Review contract documents (Design drawings, specs, proposal...etc.)
  • Review shop drawings and erection plans for accuracy and conformance to project documents, shop standards and engineering calculations.
  • Must be familiar with joist & deck, grating, elevator and aluminum structure drawings
  • Participate in conference calls and/or attend jobsite meetings
  • Create schedules and phasing plans to meet the customers' needs
  • Ensure submittal and target delivery deadlines are met
  • Maintain and update required project documentation (RFI logs, CO logs, Drawing logs...etc)
  • Assess, address and execute any problems/issues related to the project during detailing, fabrication or erection stage.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience (2-5 years) in structural steel detailing and project management
  • Must have a strong knowledge with AISC and NISD standards
  • Good understanding of connections and engineering calculations
  • Strong analysis and critical thinking skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented

  • Ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects at different stages
