Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects from kickoff through completion. This role requires a strong background in the steel industry and the ability to manage all phases of a project with precision, urgency, and accountability.

Duties

  • Manage structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects from award to closeout

  • Coordinate with clients, general contractors, suppliers, and internal teams

  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure profitability

  • Review structural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications

  • Track and manage change orders, RFIs, and cost impacts

  • Coordinate procurement, fabrication, and erection timelines

  • Lead communication between detailing, fabrication, and field teams

  • Ensure steel materials, fabrication, and installation meet project requirements

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, logs, and reporting

  • Proactively identify and resolve issues to keep projects on track

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of project management experience in structural steel or miscellaneous metals (REQUIRED)

  • Strong understanding of steel fabrication, erection processes, and project flow

  • Ability to read and interpret structural and shop drawings

  • Background in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is a plus

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in Excel and project documentation tools
