Job description

PROJECT MANAGER – STRUCTURAL STEEL


Our company is seeking an experienced Project Manager for our Structural Steel division.

Under the direction of the Vice President, the Project Manager will oversee structural steel projects from contract award through closeout.


Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing project documents to ensure scope, budget, and schedule compliance
  • Managing detailing, fabrication, and delivery schedules
  • Coordinating RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change orders
  • Leading communication with detailers, subcontractors, erectors, construction managers, and other trades
  • Attending project and production meetings
  • Obtaining and verifying field measurements when required
  • Monitoring project costs and processing subcontractor invoices
  • Issuing closeout documentation upon project completion


Qualifications:

  • Experience in the structural steel industry (Construction Management degree preferred)
  • Ability to read architectural and structural drawings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Tekla EPM (FabSuite) experience preferred
