Job description

Machine Operator - Steel Plant
JOB SUMMARY:
Hog Slat, Inc. is seeking Machine Operators to join our steel fabrication team on 1st (6am-2pm) and 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) in Newton Grove, NC. We're looking for employees who not only take pride in the quality of their work but also enjoy and thrive in the fast-paced environment of a busy shop.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as business conditions change.
  • Work from provided material to produce steel rods and welded mats
  • Verify conformance of work piece to specifications
  • Adhere to all safety procedures

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
The IDEAL CANDIDATE will have the following experience/educational background:
  • We're seeking operators with an understanding of touch screen automation
  • Experience preferred in manufacturing, but will train the right candidate
  • Stable work history required
  • Satisfactory reference check, drug screening and criminal background check required
  • Forklift experience
