Mill Loader Operator

Adams Land and Cattle, LLC South Feedlot - Broken Bow, Nebraska

Overview

Position Type: Full Time

Responsibilities & Qualifications

We are seeking a punctual and responsible individual who enjoys operating equipment, specifically a payloader, to be a part of our Mill team at our South Feedlot, located in Broken Bow, Nebraska. The schedule for this position is a rotating 4 days on and 4 days off.

This person will be responsible for:

  • Operating the pay loader in a safe manner.
  • Understanding the feed ingredients and proper handling techniques.
  • Performing basic preventative maintenance, including replacing bits and changing oils and filters.
  • General cleanliness of the work area and equipment.
  • Learning the operations of the mill and flaker and be a resource to run the mill and flaker on an as-needed basis.
  • Assisting with repairs and maintenance on the mill and flaker.
  • Assisting with general mill housekeeping and cleanliness.
  • Assisting with all delivered commodities (loading and unloading).

Requirements & Compensation

This position requires:

  • Individual must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Individual must be able to perform maintenance and inspections at the top of grain bins/elevators and flaker, of elevations up to approximately 100ft.
  • Exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally; 25-50 pounds of force frequently; 10-20 pounds of force constantly. Standing and sitting frequently; walking, carrying, and lifting/lowering, pushing/pulling, bending, twisting, climbing, crawling, stairs, reaching/handling/grasping, and kneeling/crouching occasionally.

Compensation Details:

  • Starting Wage: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour.
  • $5,000 Hiring Bonus
