OF JOB:
The Dutchess BOCES Salt Point Center/Resilience Academy/In-District are seeking an innovative and enthusiastic K12 STEAM Teacher to provide engaging, hands-on instruction in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics for students with disabilities. The ideal candidate will believe that STEAM is accessible to every learner and will bring creativity, enthusiasm, and innovation to the Dutchess BOCES community.

QUALIFICATIONS,ย 
EXPERIENCE ANDย 
COMPETENCIES:ย ย ย ย 
ย ย ย ย Valid New York State teaching certification appropriate for the position.
ย ย ย ย Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
ย ย ย ย Experience or demonstrated interest in STEAM, STEM, technology, coding, robotics, makerspaces, engineering/design, or project-based learning preferred.
ย ย ย ย Strong collaboration, creativity, flexibility, and classroom management skills.

DUTIES ANDย 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
ย ย ย ย Develop and implement engaging, project-based STEAM lessons for students in grades K12.
ย ย ย ย Integrate science, technology, engineering, mathematics, coding, robotics, design, and creative problem-solving.
ย ย ย ย Differentiate and adapt instruction to meet a wide range of academic, developmental, behavioral, and communication needs.
ย ย ย ย Incorporate New York State Learning Standards and Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards.
ย ย ย ย Create hands-on opportunities for students to design, build, experiment, problem-solve, and collaborate.
ย ย ย ย Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging STEAM learning environment.
ย ย ย ย Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and other school staff to support student learning and schoolwide initiatives.
