Job description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute test plans in accordance with:

    • SAE AS6171 standards for counterfeit detection
    • DLA requirements and QTSL (Qualified Testing Suppliers List) protocols
    • MIL-STD-883 and MIL-STD-750 standards
    • Customer-specific Statements of Work (SOWs) and technical specifications

  • Perform electrical and environmental testing, including:

    • Burn-in
    • Temperature cycling
    • Electrical parameter verification

  • Plan, program, and operate Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs) for RF measurements such as S-parameters, insertion loss, and return loss.
  • Develop LabVIEW applications for automated test execution, data acquisition, and analysis.
  • Create test setups for FPGA devices, including boundary scan, functional testing, and logic validation.
  • Analyze test results, troubleshoot anomalies, and compile detailed technical reports.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Interface with customers and auditors regarding compliance with QTSL, DLA requirements, and specific SOW deliverables.

  • Contribute to process improvements and increased lab efficiency.

Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with automated test equipment (ATE) platforms.
  • Experience with additional counterfeit mitigation techniques (e.g., X-ray, decapsulation, acoustic microscopy).
  • Knowledge of RF/microwave testing beyond VNAs.
  • Understanding of quality management systems such as AS9100 or ISO 9001.
  • Statistical analysis and reporting capabilities for test results and yields.

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electronic component testing, ideally in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability industries.
  • Knowledge of SAE AS6171 test methodologies for counterfeit mitigation.
  • Hands-on experience with DLA requirements, including QTSL protocols and documentation.
  • Experience interpreting and executing customer-specific SOWs.
  • Proficiency in MIL-STD-883 and/or MIL-STD-750 testing procedures.
  • Experience with Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) operation and RF measurement interpretation.
  • Skilled in LabVIEW for developing automated test solutions and data analysis.
  • Experience testing and characterizing FPGA devices (e.g., Xilinx, Intel/Altera, Lattice), including JTAG/boundary scan and functional validation.
  • Proficiency with test instruments like oscilloscopes, curve tracers, source meters, and logic analyzers.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
