What You'll Do
As an Associate Teacher (AT) at Veritas Prep, you will join a supportive, team-oriented environment designed to foster your growth as an educator. In this role, you'll play a key part in advancing the academic and social-emotional success of our middle school scholars through the following responsibilities:

  • Build Your Teaching Skills: Work closely with experienced educators through mentorship, observation, and hands-on classroom experience to prepare for a future lead teaching role in ELA, Math, Science, History, Special Education, or ESL/MLL.
  • Support Instruction: Serve as a substitute teacher when needed to ensure consistency in high-quality instruction.
  • Deliver Small Group Instruction: Teach daily academic support lessons (1-10 students) tailored to students who need extra support or enrichment.
  • Foster Positive Relationships: Build meaningful connections with students and families to contribute to strong, high-expectation classroom cultures.
  • Engage in Coaching: Participate in regular coaching and feedback sessions to refine your practice.
  • Support School Operations: Help lead daily duties such as hallway transitions, lunch, and advisory.

  • Salary Range for this position is $45,000 exclusive of fringe benefits.
    • If hired, your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience.

    • Keep in mind, the above range is the full base salary range for this position. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
