JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary
Regal Boats is seeking a motivated self-starter to join our team as an Industrial Engineer Intern. The Industrial Engineer Intern contributes to Regal’s mission of excellence by demonstrating a true passion for manufacturing process analysis and improvement. This individual will work alongside the Engineering Team to design and implement improvements to manufacturing process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

The primary objective of the Industrial Engineering team is to enhance operational efficiency through targeted process improvement that goes beyond traditional Lean Manufacturing methodologies. The goal is to foster a culture of continuous improvement by optimizing workflows, reducing waste, and enhancing overall operational efficiency.

  1. Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects.
  2. Collaborate on design, layout, and implementation of new processes throughout the plant
  3. Write and/or revise Standard Operating Procedures.
  4. Update facility layouts, process maps, and workflow diagrams using CAD or similar tools.
  5. Ensuring changes are implemented while monitoring progress and results.
  6. Collect and analyze operational data to find root causes and solutions to current challenges
  7. Any other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  1. Currently holds or is pursuing an Industrial Engineering degree or equivalent engineering discipline
  2. Willingness to follow all safety standards and procedures
  3. Ability to work well with teams and in close proximity to others
  4. Willingness and ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions
  5. Ability to understand and adhere to all quality standards
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD and basic statistics
  7. Conversational English

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in your typical office environments as well as factory environments that are not climate-controlled.
