Job description

**The shift for this full-time opportunity is 11 pm - 7 am. Hourly wage is based on experience.**
POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Night Auditor at Nemacolin, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and balance of front office accounting records and preparing summaries of financial data on a daily basis. Night Auditors must possess the skills and talents of a Front Desk Agent, and must be able to run the nightly audit reports.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Post room charges and taxes to guest accounts.
  • Process guest charge vouchers and credit vouchers.
  • Post guest charge purchase transactions not posted by the front office cashier.
  • Verify all account postings and balances.
  • Reviews all front desk cashier reports, and makes any needed adjustments.
  • Generates reports tracking room revenues, occupancy percentages, and other front office statistics. Summarizing results of operations for management.
  • Understands principles of auditing, balancing, and closing out accounts.
  • Possesses knowledge of how to operate front office equipment, including: computer, fax machine, copier, and has an understanding of point of sale devices.
  • Understand and know how to perform check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Acts as a Butler on an as needed basis in order to deliver room service orders.
  • Responsible for handling any guest concerns throughout the night.
  • Responsible for filing guest checks to the appropriate file.
  • Maintain a clean and neat appearance in your job dress and your work area.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma at minimum, as well as prior experience working a guest/customer facing position in hospitality or comparable.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Friendly and out-going personality.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to stand up to 8 hours at a time.
  • Ability to build effective relationships to ensure quality working relationships with all departments.
  • General knowledge of the surrounding areas and attractions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • The candidate must have the ability to speak English fluently.
  • Candidates must have the ability to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
