Position description

Applications for the Postdoctoral Scholars are being sought from doctoral (PhD, MD, or foreign equivalent) candidates with strong laboratory research backgrounds & specialized training for anticipated openings between July 1, 2026 & June 30, 2027 in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of California, Irvine.

Initial appointments are for two years & renewal is based on available support. Current faculty & research interests are:

Y. Cui: Computational Biology & Disease Genomics

L. de la Maza: Chlamydia trachomatis; immunopathology and vaccine development

E. Monuki: Brain development

E. Head: Brain Aging and Alzheimer's Disease

A. La Spada: Mechanisms of Neurodegenerative Disease / Neurotherapeutics

J. Lipkova: Artificial Intelligence in Medicine. Jana Lipkova - Jana's Lab - AI for Pathology

M. Rose: Neuronal Diversity, Omics, and Imaging in Brain Development and Disease

H. Park: Breast cancer, epigenetics, environmental exposures, and biomarkers

F. Rahmatpanah: Prostate cancer disparities, Ovarian cancer, Epigenetics, Human endogenous retroviruses in cancer

H. Mkhikian: Glycoimmunology in health, autoimmunity, and immune senescence; glycoproteomics and cross-linking mass spectrometry

P. Shah: Computational Medicine

A. Qavi: Conventional diagnostics through new optical technologies
