Overview
We're hiring a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our facilities team! In this role, you'll handle all aspects of surface preparation, painting, and finishing across various campus buildings. Responsibilities include cleaning and prepping surfaces, applying paint and specialty finishes, and maintaining painting tools and equipment. You'll follow safety protocols, use PPE, and ensure clean, organized workspaces throughout each project. If you take pride in high-quality craftsmanship, have experience with a range of painting techniques, and are committed to safety and professionalism, we'd love to have you on our team!
Responsibilities
  • Clean, sand, scrape, and prepare surfaces for painting.
  • Fill cracks, holes, and joints with appropriate materials.
  • Apply primers or sealers to surfaces as needed.
  • Apply paint, varnish, lacquer, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
  • Mix and match paints to achieve desired colors and textures.
  • Apply specialty finishes, such as faux finishes or murals, as required.
  • Operate and maintain painting equipment, including brushes, rollers, sprayers, and power washers.
  • Clean and store tools and equipment properly after use.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or vocational training in painting is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a painter, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Experience with various painting techniques and materials.
  • Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
