Job description

We are searching for a Quality Inspector to be responsible for testing materials and finished products to ensure they conform to all applicable standards. You will verify product across all stages of production (incoming, in process and final) to ensure quality levels are met.  You will work in our Mansfield, MA office reporting to the Quality Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, maintain, and review inspection reports
  • Develop inspection procedures for unique components and materials
  • Ensure compliance to federal and state laws, as well as company standards and specifications
  • Perform inspections across all stages of production
  • Generate nonconformance reports
  • Prepare and maintain test data for review
  • Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency
  • Understand and follow the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Conduct periodic audits of production processes
  • Conduct training for inspection staff on processes and tools
  • Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement new methods
  • Perform special assignments for other departments, such as but not limited to, Engineering, when required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of Quality Inspection experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs, including but not limited to, Word, and Excel

Desired:

  • Experience with Minitab, or other statistical analysis programs
  • Experience working in medical device manufacturing
  • Knowledge and experience with GMP, ISO, FDA, and quality standards
  • Experience in a clean room environment

Physical Demands:

  • Sitting, standing, walking, grasping, climbing, stooping, kneeling, or crawling as required.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 25 lbs.

Work Environment:

  • Office environment with low noise levels.
