Quality Inspector (Mechanical, Receiving & In-Process Inspection)

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team!

The Quality Inspector will be responsible for performing mechanical, receiving, and in-process inspections to ensure that all products meet our company's quality standards. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and reputation of our products and requires a high level of precision and commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Mechanical Inspection:

  • Conduct detailed inspections of electrical and mechanical components and assemblies using various measuring tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, microscopes, micrometers, gauges).
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to determine inspection criteria.
  • Identify and document non-conformances, and work with the engineering and
    production teams to resolve issues.

2. Receiving Inspection:

  • Inspect incoming raw materials, components, and products to ensure they meet specified quality standards and purchase order requirements.
  • Verify supplier documentation, such as certificates of compliance and material test reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and create detailed reports on the quality of received goods.

3. In-Process Inspection:

  • Perform in-process inspections on production lines to ensure products meet quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Monitor production processes for compliance with established procedures and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with production personnel to identify and address quality issues promptly.

4. Documentation and Reporting:

  • Accurately document inspection results and maintain inspection records.
  • Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting any areas of concern and suggesting improvements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and standards.

5. Continuous Improvement:

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide feedback for process
    enhancements.
  • Stay updated on industry standards and best practices in quality inspection.

6. Skills:

  • Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment
  • Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and specifications.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Schedule: Full-time / Monday - Friday / 7:00am - 3:30pm

Salary: $20.00 - $22.50 per hour / Bi-Weekly Pay Schedule (Direct Deposit)
