Job description

Intuitive Health Services is hiring a locum tenens Podiatrist for an opportunity at the Department of State Hospitals – Metropolitan, CA. If you’re passionate about patient-centered care and interested in making a meaningful impact in a state hospital setting, this position is an excellent fit.

Responsibilities

Examine, diagnose, and treat disorders, diseases, and injuries of the foot, ankle, and lower leg.

Perform podiatric surgical procedures as needed, including corrective, reconstructive, or preventive surgery.

Order and interpret diagnostic imaging, laboratory tests, and other assessments to aid diagnosis and treatment.

Prescribe medications, orthotics, and other treatments.

Maintain accurate documentation and clinical records in compliance with hospital protocols.

Educate patients on foot health, hygiene, and preventive care strategies.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation teams to develop comprehensive patient care plans.

Participate in case reviews, clinical rounds, and interdisciplinary treatment planning.
