JOB SUMMARY
The Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning intern will have hands-on experience with implementing, deploying, and configurating AI software across the company. The intern will evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of various AI/ML tools, and the opportunities and threats that could be posed by their implementation. The intern will work with multiple team members to develop guidelines and best practice trainings for the use of these applications across the company.
LEARNING GOALS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND DUTIES
  • Research and deploy AI/ML tools for company use
  • Configure platform specific AI/ML tools offered by various enterprise software platforms
  • Assist in cross-departmental AI/ML initiatives for use in the manufacturing industry
  • Monitor current AI/ML knowledge, trends, and regulations
  • Collaborate with team members to brainstorm new ideas and explore potential applications of AI
  • Organize and present a comprehensive presentation upon completion of projects and research to leadership
  • Perform other job duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Must be a sophomore or higher pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, information systems, management information systems, software engineering, or related degree.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPECTATIONS
Academic or professional/internship experience working in a professional setting is a plus but not required.
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and accepts direction on given assignments
Enthusiasm for technical problem solving with attention to detail and strong communication skills
Ability to learn and research in a dynamic and engaging environment Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with various levels within the organization.
Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires the ability to sit and stand constantly, as well as occasionally move between sitting and standing positions. Regular use of a keyboard is essential.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position requires the ability to work indoors constantly. The employee will occasionally be exposed to heavy machinery and loud noise levels.

Must have the right to legally work in the United States.
Must have transportation to and from work. Housing offered if needed.
