BAKER
Good Company Doughnuts & Cafe is looking for the right person to assist our Bakers and Baker Assistants in creating spectacular doughnuts and pastries for our customers. Our Baker Prep Assistants use quality ingredients and follow recipes to make scones, glazes, fillings and toppings while ensuring finished products are up to our high standards to create our tantalizing confections. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, hard-working, and reliable in a fast-paced work environment. Rain or shine, be there on time!
Our staffing needs are constantly evolving to meet the demands of the business. As such, we frequently fill positions, add positions, pause hiring for jobs, etc. so that we can manage our staffing levels. LOCATION: 8524 G, Tyco Road, Vienna, VA.
SCHEDULE: Shifts starting at 6pm. We are open to 4x 10 hour days or 5x 8 hour days

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Bake-off Scones & Prepare simple glazes, fillings and toppings following company recipes and consolidate at end of day.
  • Frost, fill and decorate doughnuts, muffins, scones and other items in accordance with our quality standards.
  • Maintain work areas in a neat and hygienic manner, including but not only: mixers, microwaves, tables, shelves, floors, tools and implements.
  • Maintain and sanitize baking utensils, tools, implements and machinery and report any malfunctions immediately.
  • Lift heavy sacks of flour and other baking items.
  • Operate baking machineries and implements.
  • Prepare special orders and catering orders while meeting production schedule deadlines.
  • Package doughnuts and pastries for wholesale distribution.
  • Strictly adhere to food safety laws and standards while preparing bakery products.
  • Be timely and dependable.
  • Ensure total customer satisfaction. . . would you want to get home and find you bought a chocolate frosted doughnut with lumps of powdered sugar in the ganache?
  • Communicate with your team and foster a positive work environment.
  • Perform other related duties as implied or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Food Handler Certification (MUST obtain within 90 days of start)
  • Ability to follow recipes
  • Ability to work both independently and as a cooperative member of a team.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instruction
  • Ability to prioritize and compete assigned tasks.
  • Ability to read and understand baking measurements.
  • Legal right to work in the United States
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods - you will be standing/walking most of your shift (up to 10 hours.)
  • Ability to reach overhead and at or above shoulder height.
  • Possess Fine motor dexterity.
  • Must be 18 Years or Older
