Data Center Delivery Manager (Hands-On Technical Leader)

Location: Plano, TX (Preferred).
Travel Requirement: 60–80%+ Travel across the U.S.

We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Data Center Delivery Manager who can lead from the front, provide technical direction to field teams, travel extensively to customer locations, and ensure successful execution of critical Data Center deployments and infrastructure projects.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate is not just a manager, but a technical expert and mentor with deep experience in Data Center infrastructure deployment, installation, commissioning, migration, structured cabling, network implementation, and operational execution.
This role requires someone comfortable being onsite at customer locations, solving technical challenges, guiding engineers, engaging with customers, and ensuring projects are delivered successfully.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Delivery:
  •  Provide hands-on technical guidance during: 
    •  Data Center buildouts.
    •  Rack & stack deployments.
    •  Hardware installation.
    •  Structured cabling (Copper/Fiber).
    •  Power & cooling implementation.
    •  Infrastructure migrations.
    •  Commissioning activities.
    •  Network deployment projects.
    •  Capacity expansion initiatives.
  •  Troubleshoot complex deployment issues and support field teams in real time. 
  •  Act as the technical escalation point for delivery teams and customers. 
  •  Mentor engineers and delivery personnel on best practices, standards, and execution. 
Field Operations Leadership:
  •  Travel extensively to customer sites throughout the U.S. 
  •  Lead onsite execution activities. 
  •  Conduct quality checks and ensure adherence to deployment standards. 
  •  Support teams during critical cutovers and migration windows. 
  •  Drive project completion while maintaining quality and safety standards. 
Customer Engagement:
  •  Interface directly with customers regarding: 
    •  Technical challenges.
    •  Delivery timelines.
    •  Escalations.
    •  Risk mitigation.
    •  Project status.
  •  Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders. 
Delivery Management:
Responsible for:
 Project execution.
  •  Resource coordination.
  •  Schedule adherence.
  •  Escalation management.
  •  Vendor coordination.
  •  Delivery reporting.
  •  Risk mitigation.
Required Experience:
Mandatory:
  • 10+ years of experience in Data Center infrastructure, Telecom, or IT Infrastructure environments.
  •  Proven experience in: 
    •  Data Center deployments.
    •  Rack & Stack.
    •  Structured cabling.
    •  Fiber installations.
    •  Network infrastructure.
    •  Server deployment.
    •  Data Center migrations.
    •  Infrastructure commissioning.
  •  Experience leading onsite delivery teams.
  •  Ability and willingness to travel 60–80%+ nationwide.
  •  Strong troubleshooting capability with a hands-on approach.

Preferred Experience:
