Job description

General Laborer - Industrial Cleaning

LACOSTA is looking for a General Industrial Cleaners to join our team in Kearney!

Job Schedule:

  • 1st shift: 6:00AM - 2:30 PM

Pay Rate:

  • 1st Shift: $18.00/hr. paid weekly

Job duties:

  • Sort and separate metals and valves from accumulated debris and sludge
  • Operate machinery, including shovels, to assist with material handling and cleanup

Maintain cleanliness throughout the facility, including:

  • Removing trash and debris across the plant floor
  • Cleaning around machinery edges and work areas
  • Inspecting coolant areas by lifting metal covers and removing swarf (metal shavings) buildup

Requirements:

  • Pass background check and drug screening
  • Physical requirements: walking, standing, reaching, stooping, bending, and lifting 40lbs independently.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
  • Wear safety glasses, hard hat, Hi-vis safety vest, steel-toed or composite toed shoes, long pants while working
  • Remove all jewelry and accessories
