Job description

  • Assist with transactional work across various business lines
  • Draft, edit, negotiate, explain, and advise on complex commercial agreements
  • Draft and negotiate agreements with healthcare providers and life sciences companies
  • Work on clinical and research projects, data license and transfer agreements, strategic collaborations, laboratory services agreements, payer agreements, pharmaceutical agreements, and government entity agreements
  • Address legal issues involving artificial intelligence, large language models, intellectual property ownership, data privacy, and healthcare technology
  • Work on corporate contracts such as vendor agreements
  • Assist with intellectual property, employment and human resources, corporate governance, fundraising, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory, and international legal work
  • Collaborate with commercial organizations, data science, medical affairs, product and engineering, finance, communications, and people teams
  • Evaluate legal risks and opportunities and help facilitate business goals
Requirements
  • JD Degree
  • 4+ years of relevant healthcare transactional experience at an established law firm or in-house role
  • Strong familiarity with the healthcare regulatory environment
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, Medicare and Medicaid payment issues, Stark regulation, fraud and abuse issues, and data privacy regulations
  • Current bar membership in at least one state
