Key Details:

  • Pay Range: $21.00 - $44.00 per hour Depending on experience and/or certifications
  • Growth opportunities are available
  • Bilingual Pay Policy: Eligible for a $1.25/hour increase for Spanish proficiency.
  • Schedule: Full-time, Tuesday - Friday, 7:30AM - 6:00PM, 10 hour shifts. No evenings and no weekends!

Who You Are:  You bring a compassionate and caring touch to your work. With exceptional organizational skills, you ensure the smooth flow of our clinic. Your excellent communication skills create a comforting environment for patients, helping ease any anxiety they may be feeling. Your commitment to patient education enhances our mission to improve oral health in the community.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Current DA certification from the Oregon Board of Dentistry / DANB with radiological proficiency, or ability to obtain certification within 90 days from hire
  • CPR / BLS certification 
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional regulations and guidelines for the provision of dental outpatient services 
  • Strict adherence to all applicable laws and regulations, including HIPPA 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to provide exceptional customer service and patient education 
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively at all levels
  • Cultural sensitivity and compassion for all patients, staff, and volunteers 
  • Strong computer skills/ability to learn use of new programs/software
  • Must be fluent in English, (bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.)

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience working in a dental clinic.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, CDC, and ADA standards.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities: As a Dental Assistant at Wallace, you'll support our dental team, helping ensure smooth operations in the clinic. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting dentists and hygienists during procedures.
  • Sterilizing instruments and maintaining a clean workspace.
  • Educating patients on oral health and addressing their questions or concerns.
  • Supporting the clinic's overall operations and contributing to an efficient workflow.
  • Collaborating with a compassionate team to provide outstanding patient care.
