HOMELESS HOTLINE SPECIALIST for Gov't Collaborative Do you have experience working with underserved communities? Are you able to use active and reflective listening to build rapport, and motivational interviewing interventions to increase positive outcomes and provide excellent customer service? Are you proficient in Microsoft Office and other office practices with keyboard accuracy & speed? Federal, state and local funds are utilized to ensure mental health and addiction prevention, and treatment and recovery support services are available to individuals and families in Stark County. PURPOSE The Homeless Hotline Specialist works with a caseload of participants experiencing many barriers including homelessness, complex trauma, medical, and mental health needs, and substance use. Provide ongoing coverage of the Homeless Navigation hotline. Works with the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS), Homeless Continuum of Care of Stark County (HCCSC) and the Coordinated Entry System (CES). REQUIRMENTSAssociate's degree in communication, social work or other similar discipline, or equivalent experience required. Experience in phone or direct interviewing of individuals is required.Hours: 40 hours per week. Schedules are within the following hours: Monday – Friday 7AM to 5:30PM and alternating Saturdays 10AM – 2PM. Alternative scheduling may be available.The final applicant selected for this position, prior to appointment, will be required to submit to a drug test for illegal drug use. The test site shall be chosen and paid for by the Board. An applicant with a positive test result will not be offered employment. The applicant will also be subject to any other requirements of Ohio law.
