The Starbucks experience starts in our Roasting Plants where we have a dedicated team of professional roasters and supporting process teams including planning, warehouse management, packaging, roasting, maintenance, engineering and logistics.
As a facility maintenance - janitorial partner, you will:
• Clean facility offices and common areas, including kitchen equipment, break room, coffee stations and facility restrooms. Vacuum carpets, clean windows, mop and wax floors.
• Monitor and maintain supply levels in restrooms, coffee station and break room.
• Perform commercial maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry and electrical.
• Perform periodic cleaning and other sanitation tasks as scheduled.
• Pick up litter outside perimeter of building and near garbage dumpsters, discard trash and recyclables from offices, restrooms and lunchroom into proper receptacles.
• Complete tasks thoroughly and accurately to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify, report, and document if and when there is a deviation from quality, legality, or food safety standards.
• Understand and follow established safety guidelines, programs and procedures; and actively work to prevent safety incidents.
• Support food safety, legality and quality programs.
• Maintain product quality through adherence to good manufacturing practices, Food Safety Preventative Controls, product specifications and quality procedures.
• Perform other duties as needed in support of business objectives and Starbucks Mission & Values.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

• Janitorial and sanitation experience
• High school diploma/GED, US military service or equivalent
• Ability to work variable shifts to support business needs
• Ability to become bloodborne pathogens certified
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work in elevated areas with ladders, roofs, lights
• Basic math skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to plan and prioritize workload
• Ability to work in accordance with safety, quality and sanitation standards, policies and procedures
• Familiarity with British Retail Consortium (BRC), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
