What You'll Do 

  •  Create. modify, and optimize CNC programs for Swiss-style lathes using CAD/CAM software and macro programming when required 
  • Program, setup, and troubleshoot Star Swiss machines for production readiness 
  • Interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, surface finish requirements, and engineering revisions
  • Develop manufacturing processes, tooling strategies, and setup documentation for precision medical components 
  • Lead machinists and support production teams to ensure low-error, on-time manufacturing performance 
  • Perform firs article inspections (FAIs) and validate machining processes 
  • Machine precision components from stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, plastics, and specialty alloys 

Required Qualifications 

  •  3-5+ years of CNC Swiss programming and setup experience in a production manufacturing environment 
  • Hands-on experience programming and setting up Swiss-style lathes with Fanuc-based controls 
  • Strong experience with Star Swiss platforms or comparable Swiss Machines 
  • Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills 
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software such as PartMaker, Mastercam, CAMWorks, or Solidworks CAM 
  • Strong understanding of cutting tools, feeds/speeds, workholding, and Swiss machining processes 
  • Ability to lead by example and support production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment 
  • Strong knowledge of inspection methods and quality control procedures 

Preferred Qualifications 

  •  Medical device, aerospace, or military manufacturing experience 
  • Experience with macro programming 
  • Experience with Partmaker software 
  • Experience with Mazatrol controls (plus) 
  • Process development or tooling design experience 
  • Technical training, apprenticeship, or manufacturing engineering education
