Job Summary:
The Manager Corporate Accounting and Reporting will be a hands-on dynamic leader responsible for the management of key accounting and reporting functions within the corporate finance division. As a key member of the leadership team, you'll assist in creating timely, high-quality deliverables by providing leadership and direction for the division's financial accounting and reporting team.
This is a high-visibility role which requires both a strong technical accounting and reporting background as well as communication skills.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage and direct a professional staff in various month-end closing tasks, journal entries, reconciliations, allocations and the consolidation of financial results. Lead the preparation and review of key internal and external financial reports ensuring results are complete and accurate.
  • Develop, modify and ensure compliance with financial reporting policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP.
  • Develop and maintain effective and responsive communication with team members in order to ensure timely identification and understanding of critical performance factors and accurate financial information. Establish internal controls to mitigate risks associated with accounting and business processes; identify and evaluate risks through understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct special studies and analyses, develop alternatives, present recommendations to management and influence management decisions. Research, analyze, develop and implement new strategies, programs, and/or processes in response to changing internal and external conditions.
  • Monitor utilization of relevant systems for accounting and reporting and ensure the team is leveraging available functionality with an eye to the future of finance.

Skills & Background You'll Need:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or other related area.
Certification: CPA required
Experience:
  • Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in corporate accounting and financial reporting:
  • 3 years of supervisory or management experience
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and key principles of application for a wide array of finance and accounting areas.
  • Work experience with public auditing or regulatory reporting preferred.
  • Knowledge of Workday Financials system and reporting preferred but not required.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on a variety of factors including individual and organizational performance.

The actual compensation for this role will be based on a combination of education and experience, knowledge and skills, position budget, internal equity, and market data.
Salary Range:
$97,750.00 - $156,250.00
