Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and customer-focused Product Marketing Manager (PMM)to drive product positioning customer adoption, and business growth for banking products and capabilities. This role will serve as the critical bridge between Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and business stakeholders, translating customer and banker needs into compelling value propositions, marketing programs, and adoption strategies.

The ideal candidate combines strong banking industry expertise, strategic decision-making capabilities, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Positioning

Develop and execute product marketing strategies that support business growth, customer engagement, and revenue objectives.

Define product positioning, messaging, and value propositions tailored to customer segments, banker needs, and market opportunities.

Translate complex product capabilities into clear customer and sales narratives.

Partner with Product Management to influence product roadmaps based on customer insights, market trends, and stakeholder feedback.

Banking & Customer Insights

Leverage deep understanding of banking products, customer journeys, and financial services trends to identify growth opportunities.

Analyze customer behavior, banker feedback, competitive intelligence, and market dynamics to inform strategy.

Advocate for customer and banker needs throughout the product lifecycle.

Stakeholder Management & Influence

Partner with senior leaders and key stakeholders to understand business priorities, customer needs, and strategic objectives.

Build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups and drive decisions in complex, matrixed environments.

Facilitate discussions, resolve competing priorities, and ensure stakeholder requirements are reflected in product and marketing strategies.

Decision Support & Business Strategy

Use data, market insights, and business performance metrics to support strategic decision-making.

Develop business cases, recommendations, and executive-level presentations to influence investment and prioritization decisions.

Evaluate opportunities, risks, and trade-offs to recommend the most impactful actions.

Performance Measurement

Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product adoption, customer engagement, revenue growth, and campaign effectiveness.

Monitor results and continuously optimize marketing strategies based on performance insights.

Provide regular updates and recommendations to leadership teams.

Qualifications

Required

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Eight to ten years of experience in project management activities

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.

8+ years of Product Marketing, Product Management, Strategy, or Financial Services experience.

Strong knowledge of small business banking, payments, lending, or digital banking solutions.

Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to support data-driven decision-making.

Proven ability to manage and influence stakeholders across multiple functions and leadership levels.

Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.

Experience translating customer and stakeholder needs into actionable product and marketing strategies.

MBA or advanced business degree.

Experience working directly with bankers, sales teams, or customer-facing organizations.

Experience in customer lifecycle management, engagement strategies, or growth marketing.

Knowledge of CRM, marketing automation, and customer analytics platforms.

Experience leading large-scale cross-functional initiatives in a regulated financial services environment.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $111,095.00 - $130,700.00
