Job description

Salary:

Crane, Rigging & Trucking Yard Worker

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Yard Worker to support crane, rigging, and trucking operations. This role involves maintaining the yard, preparing and inspecting equipment, assisting with loading/unloading, and supporting crews to ensure safe and efficient operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the staging, loading, and unloading of cranes, rigging equipment, and trucking/haul components.
  • Organize and maintain yard inventory, tools, gear, and supplies.
  • Inspect and clean equipment before and after use; report any defects or maintenance needs.
  • Assist crane crews with preparation of gear and materials for upcoming jobs.
  • Operate forklifts, and other yard equipment as needed.
  • Follow company safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and industry standards at all times.
  • Perform general yard and shop maintenance, including housekeeping and minor repairs.
  • Support drivers, mechanics, and operators with loading, tie-downs, and mobilization for jobs.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure timely, safe, and efficient operations.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a crane, rigging, or heavy haul environment preferred but not required.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts, and yard equipment (certification a plus).
  • Knowledge of rigging equipment, tools, and haul components a plus.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stretch, stand, work on an angle at times.
  • Strong attention to detail, safety-first mindset, and teamwork skills.
  • Valid drivers license required; CDL a plus.


Work Environment:

  • Full-time position; overtime and weekend availability may be required.
  • Work performed in yard, shop, and outdoor environments with exposure to weather and heavy equipment.
