Job description

We are seeking a dependable, high-energy AV Logistics Driver & Warehouse Assistant to manage the physical movement of our production gear. In this role, the road is your primary workspace. You will spend roughly 70% of your time safely transporting high-end audio, video, and lighting equipment to various event venues, and 30% assisting with warehouse inventory and staging.

Schedule Note: While our core operational hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, the live events industry is dynamic. Night and weekend drives are a must when needed to accommodate show load-ins and late-night load-outs.

Key Responsibilities

Driving & Fleet Logistics (Approx. 70%)

Primary Transport: Safely operate company vehicles (cargo vans, box trucks up to 26ft) to deliver, drop off, and retrieve AV equipment from client sites, hotels, and convention centers.

Load Securement: Expertly strap, block, and brace heavy road cases, trusses, and fragile gear inside vehicles to ensure zero damage during transport.

On-Site Coordination: Serve as our on-site logistics contact, interfacing professionally with event producers, venue dock managers, and local crews during load-ins and load-outs.

Fleet Maintenance: Manage vehicle cleanliness, perform daily pre-trip safety inspections, track fuel logs, and proactively report any maintenance issues.

Warehouse Support (Approx. 30%)

Receiving & Staging: Assist the warehouse team with unloading returning trucks, scanning barcodes, and staging outgoing gear orders according to pick lists.

Turnaround QC: Perform basic visual checks on returning gear to ensure everything listed on the manifest made it back, reporting any obviously damaged items.

Dock & Space Upkeep: Help keep the loading dock clear, organized, and safe for incoming and outgoing shipments.

Qualifications & Requirements

Availability: Ability to work a standard M-F, 9am-5pm schedule, with the strict flexibility to handle mandatory evening, late-night, and weekend driving assignments as required by event schedules.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional commercial driving experience (box trucks or large cargo vans required). Experience in event logistics, moving companies, or AV production is highly preferred.

Driver's License: Clean driving record (MVR check required) and a valid driver's license. DOT medical card required (or must be willing to obtain one immediately upon hire).

Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs frequently. Comfortable navigating tight loading docks, ramps, and service elevators.

Skills: Strong time-management skills and the ability to navigate routes efficiently using GPS; basic comfort using mobile apps for inventory scanning or delivery tracking. Ideal candidate will have experience driving box trucks (16’-26’) and experience with general warehouse operations. CDL license is not required, but general knowledge of DOT requirements is a plus.
