Job description

Are you a skilled production professional who wants to be part of building something from the ground up?

Weโ€™re looking for a Production Specialist who takes real pride in their craft and is ready to play a foundational role in a growing, full-service sign and graphics operation. This isnโ€™t a role where you clock in, run a job, and clock out. Youโ€™ll be a core part of a small, capable team, working directly with ownership in the early stage of our business, which means your habits, your standards, and your initiative will help shape how our shop runs.

The work is varied and hands-on: production and finishing in the shop, installs in the field. Youโ€™ll be operating equipment, preparing substrates, finishing printed pieces, and getting them out the door, then turning around and installing signage/graphics or applying vehicle graphics. If you thrive when given real responsibility, take ownership of your work, and want to grow with a business thatโ€™s building something, we want to hear from you.

Compensation:

$20 - $25 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain core production equipment, including our Epson large-format printer, Summa plotter/cutter, and flatbed laminator
  • Prepare substrates and media for production across a wide variety of materials and applications
  • Load, run, and catch printed materials; monitor output quality and color accuracy throughout
  • Execute finishing work, including laminating, mounting, and trimming to exact specifications
  • Perform sign and graphic installations in the field, vehicle decals, wall graphics, window film, dimensional signage, and related applications
  • Prepare and package orders for pickup and shipment with care and accuracy
  • Follow established workflow processes and contribute to improving them as our operation grows
  • Maintain quality standards at every stage, produce work youโ€™re proud of, done right the first time
  • Communicate clearly with ownership and teammates regarding job status, priorities, and any issues that arise
  • Assist with any production area as needed, in an early-stage shop, flexibility and initiative matter
  • Participate in ongoing and monthly inventory procedures and assist with material tracking
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
  • Attend training and continuously build technical skills and product knowledge
  • Adhere to all safety standards, policies, and procedures

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Hands-on experience in sign, print, or graphics production
  • Proficiency in operating large-format printers, plotters/cutters, and lamination equipment
  • Experience finishing across a wide variety of substrates: rigid, flexible, and specialty media
  • Strong eye for color accuracy and quality; understands color output expectations and takes ownership of results
  • Sign and/or graphic installation experience: vehicle decals, wall graphics, window film, or similar applications
  • Ability to work at a productive pace while maintaining close attention to detail
  • Comfortable juggling multiple jobs simultaneously and adapting quickly to shifting priorities
  • A self-starter mindset sees what needs to be done and does it without waiting to be told
  • At ease in an early-stage business environment where processes are still being built and your input has a real impact
  • Dependable, communicative, and a strong contributor in a small team setting

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with color, design, and flatbed print work.
