Job Type:   Full or Part Time, Non-Exempt Hourly    

Location:  Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida
General Information:

The Plantation at Ponte Vedra Beach is seeking Event/Banquet Set-Up Attendants.  We offer fantastic benefits and rewards, including lunch daily while at work.  Our full-time team thirty (30+ hours) is eligible for medical, dental, vision, life, disability and accident insurance the first month following sixty (60) days of employment.  Full-time employees are also eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan after completing one year of service.    


This position offers a competitive hourly rate plus commissions.  


General Job Description:

This position will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of various areas within the property. This includes setting up event spaces, ensuring all areas are kept pristine, and assisting with any other tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently, have a strong work ethic, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

  • Outstanding communicator with the ability to work with a team 
  • Understand the event layout and plan
  • Set up and arrange furniture, stage, equipment, decorations and other items according to the event plan
  • Transport or assist with transport of all event items needed to and from the event across the campus and/or offsite
  • Valid Driver's License a plus
  • Ensure all equipment needed is in good working order and fully functional
  • Maintain equipment as needed
  • Ensure setup is completed on time and pursuant to the event plan
  • Adhere to all food safety requirements 
  • Assist dismantling and cleaning the area post-event and storing equipment and materials properly


Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to thirty pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to one hundred pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
