About the role
You will join HUT's Production Engineering team, working directly under the Director of Production Engineering on the production floor where our aviation products come to life. This is a hands on manufacturing engineering role where you will be embedded in daily operations and serve as the technical resource the production team turns to when issues need solving. Because HUT builds everything in house, you will have real visibility into how products move from design to assembly to delivery, and your work will directly impact the quality of what ships to our aviation customers.

โ€ข Work Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the United States.
What you'll do
โ€ข Serve as the primary engineering resource on the production floor and help resolve manufacturing issues as they arise.
โ€ข Review process data to identify inefficiencies and drive improvements in quality, throughput, and waste reduction.
โ€ข Lead root cause investigations for production failures and nonconformances, and own corrective actions through resolution.
โ€ข Write and maintain clear, accurate standard work instructions and process documentation.
โ€ข Partner with quality, design, and supply chain teams to support manufacturability for new products from the start.
โ€ข Design and develop tooling, fixtures, and test equipment that make assembly faster, safer, and more repeatable.
โ€ข Work directly with machinists, technicians, and vendors to bring tooling solutions from concept to the production floor.
Required Qualifications
โ€ข โ€ข Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
โ€ข One to three years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
โ€ข Solid understanding of GD&T and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
โ€ข Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
โ€ข Strong problem solving skills with the ability to identify issues and follow through until they are resolved.
โ€ข Comfortable working across teams and communicating clearly with production, engineering, and quality groups.
Preferred Qualifications
โ€ข Experience in aerospace, automotive, or medical device manufacturing.
โ€ข Familiarity with ERP, MRP, or PLM systems.
โ€ข Knowledge of FAA or Mil Spec requirements.
