Position Summary
Prepares general ledger information, financial statements, statistical reports, variance analysis reports, and overhead expense allocation.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
• Assists in the preparation of the monthly financial statements in a timely manner which includes creating journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Maintains details and explanations for journal entries and submits to Accounting Manager for approval.
• Reconciles and balance all intercompany transactions
• Reconciles fixed asset and construction in progress accounts (CIP) each month.
• Assist in the preparations of reports to various agencies as assigned.
• Maintains information supporting the allocation of overhead expense. Allocates overhead for internal and external reporting.
• Assists in the preparation of budget variance analysis reports.
• Assists in general accounting functions such as payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Assists in annual financial audit including preparation of audit schedules.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager or Senior Accountants.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of three years' experience in general accounting.
• Ten key calculator by touch.
• PC spreadsheet and word processing experience.
• Equivalent experience and a 2 year degree may be substituted in lieu of a 4 year degree.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
• English required; English/Spanish preferred
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to perform statistical analysis.
REASONING ABILITY
• Must be able to compile, interpret, and utilize information.
• Must be able to resolve accounting irregularities.
Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, and Medical Screening
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of three years' experience in general accounting.
• Must complete a pre-hire and annual health screening and TB test.
• Annual influenza vaccine required. Only exception is for employees with a medical or religious exemption approved by Administration. Employees with an approved medical or religious exemption must wear a mask at all time during the flu season.
• TB testing annually required.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, photocopiers, fax machines, and telephones. office furniture will be used when appropriate. This is a full time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Little to no travel is expected for this position.
