JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: District Stadium Operator
REPORTS TO: Director-Athletics
WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Nonexempt
PAY GRADE: Aux 10
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The District Stadium Operator provides support for all hardware, software and infrastructure at the district stadium and will provide audio/visual and technology support for the district stadium and community room. In addition, the position is responsible for keeping the facility in order and maintaining the physical facility in a condition of operating excellence, so that full use of the facility can be obtained.
All employees of SISD are expected to act with integrity, support organizational goals, communicate in a clear and respectful manner, championing the needs of our students and drive continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
  • High Graduate or GED
  • Valid Texas driver's license
  • Two years' job related experience
  • Nights and weekend schedule to support stadium and community room events.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of relevant educations and/or experience.
  • Four years' experience with AV systems
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
  • Ability to perform job without normal supervision
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Knowledge of power tools such as power washer, lawn mower, edger, trimmers, blower and hand tools
  • Ability to perform minor maintenance and preventative maintenance on tools used
  • Physical requirements - good distance vision in both eyes, ability to lift and carry items weighing 100 lbs.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Responsible for operating the audio visual boards and the sound system and CCTV systems interfacing in the Community Room. Must be able to work evening events.
  • Responsible for maintaining the replay board and sound system at the District Stadium.
  • Responsible for the performance of the stadium game cameras and tri-caster.
  • Responsible for systems interfacing.
  • Responsible to inspect and maintain the concession stands and community room kitchen's Ansul systems.
  • Responsible for inspecting and maintaining fire suppression systems.
  • Responsible for the general maintenance needs of the district stadium and Community Room.
  • Responsible to inspect and maintain the District Stadium grounds equipment.
  • Responsible for the care and upkeep of the 40+ district scoreboards and the 8+ outside sound systems at each of our facilities.
  • Perform scheduled, periodic operational and maintenance checks and services on building systems and equipment.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Check air-conditions filters bi-monthly and change filters as needed.
  • Monitor control panels and/or maintain all building complex systems.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, and heavy lifting and carrying. Work outside and around moving objects or vehicles. Exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, (herbicides and fertilizer), and loud noises. Frequent district wide travel. Night and weekend work required.
