ATCO - MACHINE OPERATOR - Fort Worth, TX (On-Site)
POSITION SUMMARY
ATCO Rubber Products Inc. is currently hiring for a Machine Operator to produce either jacket or core at set standards of efficiency and quality.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Set up, start, and operate Core and Jacket machinery handle materials according to operating procedures
  • Monitor and operate production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Examine core and jacket produced visually or physically to ensure conformance with established standards.
  • Package the finished core and jacket materials in bundles /bags / boxes or pallets
  • Refer issues/problems to Productions Lead or supervisors for disposition
  • Perform all required machine cleaning.
  • Document work completed as required including writing production/ bundle tickets/ production information on the bags.
  • Participate in training, retraining, and continual improvement processes and methods.
  • Follows and complies with all safety and work rules and regulations.
  • Maintains work area clean to required housekeeping standards
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or supervisor/ management team

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work process, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
  • Must be able to operate/monitor equipment during operation to ensure quality production
  • Read and follow manuals and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace
  • Must be dependable and have excellent attendance
  • Possess a positive attitude
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime as needed, up to every or every other weekend

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs. regularly
  • Must be able to stand for an 8-hour shift
  • Continuously walk from machine head to packing area (10 - 15')
  • Lifting mylar onto run out spindle (maximum 40 lbs) once an hour (occasional)
  • On jacket line the operator must walk 50' for each part produced, one part each 60 - 90 seconds (continuously)
  • Place product into assigned carton, wire basket or under jacket packing press (continuously)
  • Try to pull the product apart by holding it in both hands and pulling the hands in opposite direction (frequently)
  • Move and stack cartons (maximum 75 lbs) of product onto pallets (occasionally)
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace
  • Willing and able to work in temperature extremes - hot and cold, in a warehouse environment

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week:
1st Shift: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, M-F
2nd Shift: 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm. M-F
3rd Shift: 11:00 pm - 7:00 am, Sun-Thur
Must be available to provide occasional after-hours support and be on call one weekend a month during maintenance cycles.

Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
