POSITION SUMMARY
The Principal Engineer will provide technical leadership and architectural direction for the company's AI-powered SaaS platform, driving the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing software solutions. Partner with engineering, product, and executive leadership to solve complex technical challenges, mentor development teams, and establish engineering best practices that support innovation and long-term business growth.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
1. Own technical accountability for systems and products, including scalability, resiliency, uptime, architectural decisions, and overall quality.
2. Drive innovation and improvement by conducting proofs of concept, championing engineering-led initiatives, and advocating for better architectures and technology choices.
3. Shape technical direction by leading and influencing design decisions across teams, ensuring alignment with standards, best practices, and long-term scalability.
4. Model technical excellence by delivering optimized, efficient, and refactorable software, while continuing to contribute through coding and high-impact reviews.
5. Influence beyond the team by championing technical themes across the company and guiding engineering practices in multiple teams and business units.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • At least 10 years of professional experience building high-performance, reliable systems in a complex, multi-tiered and distributed environment.
  • Design and implement services in a variety of programming languages including Nodejs, Golang
  • Successful deployment of production code at scale.
  • Proven track record of writing maintainable code which includes unit tests, readable code and decent implementations of design patterns.
  • Expertise with learning new technologies and familiarity with our tech stack: JavaScript, Node.js, Go, React.js, ElasticSearch, NSQ, GraphQL and Postgres.
