We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer Intern who is eager to gain hands-on experience building modern web applications. The ideal candidate is passionate about software development, enjoys learning new technologies, and is excited to contribute to both front-end and back-end development while working alongside experienced engineers. This internship provides an opportunity to develop practical skills in full stack development and AI-assisted software engineering practices.
MLSE's Internship term dates are from September 8, 2026 - December 18, 2026
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of web applications across front-end and back-end systems.
- Build and enhance user interfaces using React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Support the development and integration of RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js or similar technologies.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established coding standards and best practices.
- Participate in debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving software issues.
- Contribute to application testing, including unit testing and quality assurance activities.
- Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Replit AI) to accelerate learning, coding, and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering team members to deliver product features.
- Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Learn and apply software development methodologies, tools, and engineering best practices.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic experience with software development through coursework, personal projects, hackathons, internships, or open-source contributions.
- Familiarity with:
