Job Description
Our client seeks a full stack developer with Atlassian experience to configure, manage, and enhance Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket tools, including native functionality as well as researching, testing, and implementing plugins. Knowledge of GitLab would also be beneficial. The developer will be responsible for understanding the current process, gathering requirements, investigating potential solutions, analyzing impact, communicating with stakeholders, and implementing solutions. This role provides challenging opportunities and ample room for critical thinking in building extensible solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients while scaling out to support the daily collaboration of the entire organization.The ideal candidate is a full stack developer. Preferably with experience with Python and/or Java. Atlassian experience is nice, but not required. More emphasis on troubleshooting, scripting, and automation is strongly preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with customers,Business Analysts, developers, admins and cross-functional teams tocollect.
  • requirements and developsolutions to support the daily needs of a rapidly growing business.
  • Research, test, and implementplugins and scripts for Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
  • Develop interfaces betweenexternal tooling and Jira/Confluence infrastructure.
  • Manage Jira workflows, screenschemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes.
  • Document requirements,solutions, as well as user and support reference guides.
  • Develop specifications andtest plans associated with new features or modifications.
  • Provide communications linkbetween users and technical groups.
  • Provide ongoing user supportincluding troubleshooting and resolution of issues.
  • Perform other related dutiesas assigned.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements
  • Programming experience with awillingness to learn.
  • Knowledge and understandingof the software development cycle.
  • Excellent problem solvingskills and demonstration of critical thinking.
  • Strong written and verbalcommunication skills.
  • Basic query languageexperience (SQL or equivalent, JQL a bonus).
  • Knowledge of Single Sign Onprotocols such as SAML, SAML2.
  • Familiarity with Git andbranching models or other source control repositories.
  • Bachelor's Degree or anequivalent combination of education and experience
  • Six to eight years of jobrelated experience

Preferred Skills
  • Java, Groovy, Python,Javascript, and Bash scripting strongly preferred. HTML, CSS, andJavaScript a

  • Experience in setting up andsupporting Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket etc.). Ability to

  • Experience using/extendingREST API.
