They are seeking a Full Stack Developer to design, build, and develop software solutions that address complex technical challenges for government missions, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical capabilities.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Develop new features and applications while modernizing and enhancing existing legacy codebases to improve performance, security, and maintainability
โ€ข Create detailed API specifications, design RESTful or other interfaces, and integrate with external/third-party APIs and services
โ€ข Design and implement responsive, user-focused front-end interfaces using modern frameworks (React/Angular), HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript
โ€ข Architect and build back-end processing logic and services for complex, data-intensive applications using Python, and/or Node.js
โ€ข Design, implement, and optimize database schemas, queries, and storage solutions using SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security
โ€ข Develop and maintain scripting automation in Bash, Python, or other languages to support deployment, data processing, and tooling
โ€ข Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following best practices for readability, extensibility, and security across the full stack
โ€ข Implement comprehensive automated testing suites: unit tests, integration tests, functional/end-to-end tests, and performance/stress testing to validate behavior across environments
โ€ข Provide technical leadership in software architecture discussions, including trade-off analyses, design patterns, and recommendations for scalable, secure solutions
โ€ข Produce clear, professional documentation including code comments, API references, architecture diagrams, deployment instructions, and user-facing materials
โ€ข Engage directly with end users and stakeholders to gather feedback, demonstrate features, and iterate on solutions
โ€ข Perform thorough, constructive code reviews to uphold code quality, security standards, and team consistency
โ€ข Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full stack, from UI rendering to database performance and API integrations
โ€ข Participate in Agile processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field (or equivalent professional experience demonstrating comparable depth)
โ€ข 3+ years of professional experience in full-stack development, with proven work on front-end and/or back-end components in production environments
โ€ข Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one modern front-end framework (React preferred; Angular acceptable), along with HTML5 and CSS for building responsive UIs
โ€ข Solid experience with back-end development in Python, including API design, implementation, and server-side logic (experience with Node.js is a plus)
โ€ข Hands-on experience with relational (SQL) and/or NoSQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, and data modeling
โ€ข Demonstrated experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies, including story-point estimation, sprint participation, and iterative delivery
โ€ข Familiarity with version control and CI/CD tools (GitLab preferred)
โ€ข Strong analytical problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail in code, testing, and requirements
โ€ข Experience writing and maintaining automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) and understanding of testing best practices
โ€ข Proficiency in Bash or other scripting languages for automation tasks
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience in government, defense, or intelligence community projects, with awareness of security/compliance considerations (e.g., handling classified data, secure coding practices)
โ€ข Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration basics (Kubernetes) for deployment
โ€ข Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred) for hosting and scaling applications
โ€ข Contributions to code quality through tools like linters, static analysis, or automated pipelines
