Description The 244-bed, all private room HSHS St. Mary's Hospital facility was founded in 1878 by three Hospital Sisters of St. Francis. Today, it combines modern technology with the founding spirit of the hospital. Situated on an attractive 21-acre campus, it overlooks Lake Decatur and offers a broad spectrum of comprehensive health services.

Team Leadership Matthew Walsh, MD–Senior Vice President Dr. Walsh is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology and a specialist in cardiovascular anesthesia. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from Loyola University, Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, IL, where he also fulfilled his anesthesia residency. His professional affiliations include membership in the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the Illinois Society of Anesthesiologists.
